The Systems Administrator maintains the GoDaddy live person platform on our website. The Administrator is responsible for making changes to the contact system at the behest of the business operation. We are key players in incident management associated with the system and work across instances of the messaging platform to play a key role in the development of the second-level technical support platform. We are also accountable for data collection from instances across the platform and for ensuring that the data is formatted and delivered to the accurate repositories for use in business decision-making.
What you’ll get to do:
- Maintaining the test environment and deploying changes for testing in that environment
- Complete updates and changes with oversight from the platform administrator
- Address system problems and update service incidents with details
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for our systems and join engineering discussions when urgent scenarios arise
- Developing new capabilities for level two technical support and maintaining that platform for continuous detailed operation
- Stewardship of platform updates and maintenance
- Ownership of safe platform turn-up/down protocols during incidents
- Collection, formatting, and transport of platform data
- Ticket/incident administration and recovery tactics
Your experience should include:
- 3+ years of Systems Admin experience, preferably in a contact centre setting
- Experience in a Web-based SAAS environment
- Good understanding of web technology and how they work well with multiple systems
- Basic development and understanding of bot automation
- BS or equivalent experience in computer science, information systems, or a related subject area
- Ability to develop API calls
- Proficiency in JavaScript/NodeJS and PHP
- Experience with incident management and emergent recovery tactics, testing, and deployment skills
- Experience in Salesforce; Amazon system understanding is a plus
- Understanding async contact methods SMS, and WhatsApp for customer support is a plus
