Key Responsibilities
- Conduct environmental assessments and audits for clients to identify potential risks and recommend effective mitigation strategies.
- Develop and implement sustainability and environmental compliance programs.
- Collaborate with clients to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of environmental reports, regulatory filings, and documentation.
- Provide expert advice on best practices related to environmental impact and sustainability initiatives.
- Support the development of environmental policies and strategies to promote sustainable business practices.
- Perform research to stay up to date with the latest environmental laws, trends, and technologies.
- Deliver presentations and workshops to clients on environmental management practices and policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. A Masters degree is preferred.
- Professional certifications, such as LEED, ISO 14001, or equivalent, are a plus.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in environmental consulting or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations (e.g., EPA regulations, OSHA standards).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex environmental data to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in environmental assessment tools and software.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in environmental consulting, sustainability initiatives, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in managing environmental projects, including regulatory compliance and risk assessments.
- Prior experience working with clients in industries such as construction, manufacturing, or energy is highly desirable.
Working Hours
- This is a full-time, remote position.
- Flexible working hours, with the expectation to manage deadlines and client expectations.
- Occasional travel may be required for client site visits or presentations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Deep understanding of environmental laws, sustainability practices, and environmental assessment methodologies.
- Ability to conduct environmental impact assessments and audits.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and environmental management software.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring all work complies with environmental regulations and company standards.
- Ability to work autonomously, with minimal supervision, while maintaining high standards of quality.
