Parking Services Specialist – Transportation Services (Part-Time)

The posting is intended to describe the general content and requirements of this position and is not intended to be an exhaustive statement of duties.

Description Monitors parking facilities to assure adherence to parking regulations and for making maintenance and repair recommendations. Serves as an attendant for special event functions.

Essential Accountabilities:

  • Monitors parking facilities located on campus for adherence to city and University rules, regulations and ordinances.
  • Provides assistance with special events parking by controlling entrance to specified gated facilities and/or ensuring areas are properly blocked.
  • Reports damaged, erroneous, or absent signage to management for Parking Facilities.
  • Performs other duties assigned.

Starting Pay Range: $15.00 – $15.45 (Commensurate with experience & qualifications)

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.

Driving record should meet University underwriting guidelines to drive vehicle in performance of University business. Current underwriting guidelines include possession a valid driver’s license, issued in the United States; at least 21 years of age; at least three years of driving experience; maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

Possess the necessary physical requirements, with or without the aid of mechanical devices, to safely perform the duties and responsibilities of this position to include:

  • Performing tasks requiring climbing stairs, bending, stooping, kneeling, and extensive walking significant distances between and within buildings on campus.
  • Working in all weather conditions
  • Driving around campus for long periods of time

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am-4:30 pm (Subject to change to meet the needs of the University).
