Key Responsibilities
- Process healthcare billing information, including insurance claims and patient invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Handle inbound and outbound customer service calls related to billing inquiries, insurance verification, and claim status.
- Resolve patient and provider issues by identifying the root cause and offering appropriate solutions in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions and transactions in the companys database.
- Follow up with patients and insurance companies to ensure timely payment processing.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth billing operations and prompt resolution of issues.
- Stay updated on healthcare billing regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.
- Provide feedback to management on common issues and potential process improvements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in healthcare billing, medical coding, or customer service in a healthcare setting is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using healthcare billing software and customer service platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote work environment.
- Understanding of insurance processes and healthcare terminology.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
Experience
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in healthcare billing, medical office, or customer service roles.
- Experience working remotely or in a virtual team environment is a plus.
Working Hours
- This is a full-time remote position with flexible hours. Standard working hours are between 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Weekend shifts may be required during peak periods.

- Knowledge of healthcare billing practices, coding systems, and insurance processes.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
