The responsibilities at Amazon’s warehouse will require you to perform physically demanding tasks, such as selecting, packing, and shipping orders. You will be working at a fast pace and handling orders, including those for super-fast delivery that takes two hours or less.

Duties & Responsibilities

Some of your duties may include:

  1. Process of receiving and shelving stock
  2. Complete the process of customer order fulfillment by ensuring orders are packed and ready for delivery
  3. Place the packaged goods onto the trucks for delivery
  4. Scanners are sophisticated devices designed to interpret the complex information contained in bar codes affixed on products
  5. The screen will prompt you to enter your username and password to access your account
  6. Troubleshoot problems
  7. Verify that the product satisfies quality requisites
  8. Obtain necessary certification and training to safely operate powered industrial trucks (PIT), including forklifts and pallet drivers, at no expense. You may also perform work duties at a height of up to 40 feet.

You’ll also need to be able to:

  1. Able to lift up to 49 pounds without experiencing any discomfort
  2. Handle utility carts weighing up to 60 pounds effortlessly
  3. The physical demands of shifts may include standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching
  4. To enhance productivity and reduce workplace injuries caused by manual lifting, businesses should consider implementing the use of carts, dollies, and other similar gear
  5. Climb and descend stairs (where accessible)
  6. Perform work tasks on a mezzanine platform, which can reach up to 40 feet high
